Press Release:
The pin up as been a classic art form of celebrating women since the beginning of the 20th century. To "pin up" a photo of your favorite celebrity or model to your wall was to constantly gaze on their sexy form in something scantly clad or even nude. Men in the Army to boys in school always had these images on their walls to dream about.
Now in the the 21st century the Pin Up has been turned into not just a sexy woman for men and boys but a image of whatever the viewer likes. Food pin ups, men pinups, zombie pin ups, animal pin ups or what ever fits your fancy. And being a pin up model is for anyone who wants to express a sexier side of them self's however they feel best in their own body.
The Modern Pin up group art show is to show examples of just that, everyone expressing their desires to be pinned up on the wall and be objectified in a very positive way. All the artists in the show convey their interpretation of what they think a pin up is.
